  1. Los Angeles Times: Rick Santorum focuses on gay marriage

    Reading Santorum's ramblings, I can't help but think that this is how the last die-hard supporters of Jim Crow must have sounded back in the sixties. They still had a "bubble" of supporters in certain parts of the country, and they didn't realize how public feeling was shifting, that the era in which it was possible to vent such crude bigotry and still be a serious national politician was passing away.

    Santorum will live to see himself remembered as the 21st century's Wallace in the schoolhouse door.
