ReplyDeleteIn defense of the land of my ancestors, I should point out that extremist Christians exist in Britain only in negligible numbers. This "Christian Peoples Alliance" is a tiny fringe party whose biggest achievement so far has been to get under 3% of the vote in a London mayoral election, and even then some people probably voted for it to vent annoyance at the Muslims, a bigger (and even more homophobic) group who are the real European equivalent of the US Christian Right. "Party leader" makes Craig sound more important than he is. This is really of no more significance than the head of the American Nazi Party blathering about something.
