  1. OK Ahab, I admit I didn't even scroll down, I clicked immediately on the TX Observer piece. I remember years ago when I cataloged books for a library in Denton County TX. We aroused protests when we included a gay magazine in our collection and a certain pastor came to our town hall meeting and released a snake. After condemning us then calming the serpent he dramatically departed claiming he had to preach a sermon.

Sooo...there's talk that Rick Perry's running for president. If so, I certainly hope his pastor is denigrated the way Obama's was. (Think so?)

  2. Donna -- Given all the media attention this rally is receiving, people will be well aware of the fundamentalists associated with Perry.

The pastor released a SNAKE in a town hall meeting!? WTF!?

  3. That top article is as far as I could go, too, buddy. This one needs to be outed all over the interwebs...and we know just the folks to spread the word.

"Where does God stop and they begin? I don't think they know the difference.” That is the very definition of small government, I believe.

  4. Nance -- The Texas Observer article is a good one, which is why I put it at the top of the list.
