Salon: When a gay minister moved to a small southern town

  1. The Talk to Action piece is chilling. Amazing that more people aren't appalled by such flagrant demagoguery.

  2. On gay preachers, am I pitiful by thinking that I don't think gays should be preachers at all? Here is the reason: the Bible is clear against gays. In order to stay believers, gays need to twist the Bible to make it gay friendly. My thinking is why bother? Christianity is an abusive belief system which is clearly against homosexuals. Why remain in and support the system?

  3. Donna -- I think such demagoguery has become so common that people may be less surprised by it.

    Exfundy -- You make a thought-provoking point, I confess.
