  1. “Christian women do not like workplace quotas because Christian women don’t like the idea of being forced into the workplace – Christian women like choice, the option of going into the workplace or not,” says Crouse.

Who is "forcing" women into the workplace?

"Feminism was taken over by lesbians, by those who wanted quotas and abortion on demand.”

Why would lesbians need abortions on demand? As the RRRW is so fond of reminding us, we can't knock each other up.

What alternate universe is this loon from?

That is disturbing movement. But then, so is nearly any Biblically based movement. ;-)

By the way, did you see this article about Pat Robertson giving the OK to divorce your spouse with Alzheimer's? I know it's a little different than the scope of your normal posts, but I found it amusing/distrubing.

  3. Buffy -- The alternate universe of Wackyland, where nothing makes much sense. Their hostility toward feminists is palpable, but they don't undergird it with any logic.

Wise Fool -- I find the Quiverfull movement deeply disturbing as well. Are you familiar with Kathryn Joyce's book on the movement?

I'd heard about Robertson's advice to that man, and I found it puzzling, given all the sanctity-of-marriage rhetoric that the Religious Right promotes.
