  1. Phyllis Schlafly is Michelle Bachmann's lifeline to the world? That explains a lot!

  2. Good old OMM. Another bunch of busybodies who want to sanitize the world rather than actually parent their own children.

  4. Donna -- Yeah, I did a facepalm when I read about Bachmann and Schafly. The latter is NOT a nice person.

Buffy & Knatolee -- Agreed. If they were actually concerned about violent or hypersexual entertainment, there are plenty of organizations that advocate for media literacy and reform WITHOUT promoting homophobia.

  5. Michele Bachmann/Phyllis Schlafly: Both make the hair stand up on the back of my neck. Two career women putting down career women.

Schlafly "almost single-handedly killed the Equal Rights Amendment, possesses a Masters degree and a law degree, runs one of the most influential right-wing organizations in Washington, DC, has testified before more than 50 congressional and state legislative committees, has been a delegate to the Republican National Convention nearly ten times, has thrice been elected President of the Illinois Federation of Republican Women, and was twice a candidate for Congress from Illinois – would come out in defense of a piece arguing that men should not marry “career women.”

A lot like career politicians running on a Shrink Government platform.

  6. Nance -- Schlafly's hypocrisy has left a lot of observers scratching their heads over the years. "A career for me but not for thee" seems to be her motto.
