Satan is "out to destroy" some wingnut TV show? Boy, evil sure isn't what it used to be. I'd think Satan would actually be quite fond of Phil Robertson, with all he does to make Christianity look ridiculous and unappealing.
ReplyDeleteAre the creationists really unaware that the Catholic Church has accepted evolution for decades? My guess is, the Church hasn't forgotten how they ended up looking like complete assholes after their fight with Galileo, and decided to avoid any more unwinnable crusades against verifiable scientific reality. The really important thing is control over people and enforcement of the taboo system, so that's what they're focusing their energies on.
Infidel -- Phil and Alan Robertson have some very strange ideas about God and religion, and Alan seems to think "Duck Dynasty" is more important in the grand scheme than it actually is. For example:

Creationists need to reject evolution wherever they find it because their entire belief system would come crashing down if they admitted than Bible stories aren't necessarily true.
