  1. In Canada, that El Paso ad would be considered hate speech and would not be permitted to be published. I think we know who's putrid, and it's not gays.

  4. On the Maryland article, this jumps off the page for me:

    " Racism is about keeping the races apart, and that is always wrong. Segregation was a serious, serious social problem. The fact that marriage exists exclusively between men and women, folks, is not a social problem; it is a deep, deep social good."

    It might as well end with, "Why? Because I say so, that's why."
