That photo gallery is illuminating. Those kids look lost.
ReplyDeleteAgi Tater -- Most participants at ecstatic prayer gatherings look like they're in a trance.
DeleteOnce audio/video of OneThing 2015 is available, I'll blog on the event as I have in past years. There's always at least one talk at OneThing that is bizarre or unsettling.
The guy on the right in the second photo looks like he's about to throw up, which is how I'd probably be if I were there. Most of the rest do look like they're in some kind of abnormal mental state, trying to blank out their individuality and merge into the mob. It's frightening and subhuman.
DeleteInfidel -- These ecstatic states alarm me too because the participants are much more receptive to fundamentalist messages when they're tranced out. Given what Mike Bickle and some of his colleagues preach, that should worry us.
DeleteI wonder if they were expecting pancakes?
ReplyDeleteJono -- Wrong IHOP. The pancake people are far less creepy.
DeletePhotos are chilling. Thanks for posting, Ahab.
ReplyDeleteDonna -- I've observed ecstatic prayer events (on a much smaller scale than OneThing), and it's disturbing to see people in ecstatic trances. They're in their own little reality.
