  1. Over 1400 people officially resigning from the LDS Church over the next week or 2. Incredible. Thanks for posting these!

    1. Donna -- I'm proud of all the Mormons voting with their feet. They're taking a stand against a bigoted organization.

  2. I'm still so furious over the LDS church's decision. I haven't been this upset since I started learning about its ugly history. I hope the resignation numbers double if not triple.

    1. Heather -- Me too. The decision was cold and callous. Someday, the LDS leadership will regret passing that policy.

  3. As I said on my blog, people predicted equality of marriage would destroy families, but they didn't know it would be a religious organization, not marriage equality, that would do the destroying

    1. Shaw -- Ironic, isn't it? A religious organization bringing about the very horror it predicted.

  4. Ben Carson: "My ideas about creationism and pyramids are ‘not silly at all’ — they’re in the Bible"

Really, Ben? So is this: "Anyone who desecrates it must die; anyone who works on that day will be cut off from the community. Work six days only, but the seventh day must be a day of total rest. I repeat: Because the LORD considers it a holy day, anyone who works on the Sabbath must be put to death.' (Exodus 31:12-15 NLT)"

So get ready for mass executions under Kindly Doctor Ben when he becomes president and goes after everyone who works on Sundays. He is a certifiable nut.

    1. Shaw -- Ben should read the Old Testament a little more closely. I get nervous when politicians see that book as inerrant.
