  1. From the piece in the Friendly Atheist:
    "...the Phelps family is now blocking anyone who is no longer with the church from seeing him, including Fred’s sons, daughters, nieces, and nephews."
    This is a truly disturbing dynamic that happens in too many fanatically religious families.

    Are you thinking what I'm thinking? If Phelps makes a miraculous recovery, he could be the perfect Republican Presidential candidate to rally the party. He's embodied Christianist values perfectly for decades, without an atom of apology.
