Huffington Post: After 13 Years, I'm Leaving Christianity

  1. The Mormon Church really messed up this time. Their revenues are going down and some genius thought playing hardball with LGBT members would be a good thing. I don't have enough fingers and toes to list all of the Mormons I know personally who were devout only a few days ago and are now having a huge crisis of faith. The fallout will be interesting to say the least.

On a related note, I've never liked the term "resign" although that is what everyone calls it when they request the church to remove their names from the records. The connotation suggests a need for permission … never sat well with me so I just sent them a formal notice of my termination of membership. They didn't like that but ultimately I won. : )

    1. Agi Tater -- The decision was not only immoral, but stupid. How does the LDS leadership expect to recover from this? Didn't they realize this would cost them members and revenue?

Let's pop some popcorn and watch the fallout. I'll be cheering on the Mormons who leave the church after this.
