First, I'd like to apologize for my long absence from the blogosphere. My readers are probably wondering where I've been the past few weeks.
First, a family member is dealing with some health issues right now, so I've taken over yard care and other chores for him. Lawn mowing, pruning, bundling pruned branches, mulching, and other tasks have taken up a good chunk of my time this spring.
Second, I was recently working on on a major project with a rigid deadline at my job. After putting in long hours at work, I had little energy left for blogging.
I plan on returning to Republic of Gilead soon, especially with all of the gripping stories in the news right now. Bathroom bills, right-wing politics, and Religious Right events have all been in the news as of late, so there is no lack of material.
I'll also be attending two conferences on behalf of my workplace (an anti-violence organization) in the next few days: the Philadelphia Trans Health Conference, and the United State of Women Summit in Washington D.C. I'd like to blog on my experiences upon my return, so stay tuned.
I want to extend a warm thank you to all of my followers, who have been patient with my sporadic blogging.
It's good to see you here again...you do what you need to do; we understand. (((HUGS)))
