Comic Relief: I'm Waiting for This

Obama's re-election. Slow but sure advances in LGBTQ equality. An increasingly diverse America. Amidst all these developments, I'm waiting for some frustrated Religious Right figure to have a freak-out like Morn did in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.

  1. A friend of mine who is both a rancher and fairly conservative told me that the day after Obama's re-election, he arranged to sell all his cattle in anticipation of his sudden retirement. Staying in business just doesn't seem likely to be worthwhile to him. I myself suspect his fears are somewhat exaggerated.

    1. Paul -- So he went through with it? Was it the tough economic times, or fears about Obama that motivated him? What does he plan to do now?

    2. Well, it's possible he's pulling my leg about selling his cattle and retiring, Ahab, but I don't think so. He blames Obama for the tough economic times and thinks things are going to get much worse now that he's been re-elected.

  2. Dang, I sure miss DS9. I must find some re-runs. I miss the whole star trek adventure. Except for the last one which I didn't enjoy a lot. Sigh...I need space fantasy!

    1. Sherry -- I know Next Generation is running reruns, but I haven't seen DS9 reruns lately. I hope they air them.
