  1. As much as I dislike Santorum, God only knows how much, I find it fasinating that he is not higher in the polls. I mean, he is the perfect conservative candidate (values wise). I was watching CNN this morning, and the reporters commented on that, on how he is upset that he is not doing better. I wish he was doing better, only so the media would be more dilligent in bringing out all the skeletons out of his closet.

  2. Vertigo -- It IS a conundrum. Given the flaws of the other candidates (adultery and divorce for Gingrich, harassment allegations against Cain, etc.), you'd think that Santorum would shine all the brighter in the GOP race. Maybe his Catholicism is problematic for evangelical voters?

  3. I didn't know he was Catholic, so are people talking about that? Some Republicans might give a Mormon a try, they might accept a Catholic too (?). It is a conundrum, indeed. If we are perplex by it, he must be angry!

  4. The GOP is a national joke. I watched that Bachmann clip on CNN yesterday. It's hard to believe she is THAT clueless. Yet people were clapping for her idiotic babblings. Mostly the adults. The kids looked at her like she was something steamy they wanted to avoid stepping in.

I have to add, though, I have a lot of hope because of the younger generation. I keep seeing indications that they're smarter and more humane than their parents. Fingers crossed.

  5. Cognitive Dissenter -- LGBT rights have made a lot of progress precisely because the younger generation is more open-minded. It's a glimmer of hope.

  6. Vertigo -- I could be wrong about the Catholic thing, though. Maybe it's a matter of funding, connections, or charisma (or lack thereof)?

  7. Yoga is EVIL?!! Funny, I think demented old Catholic priests are evil. So glad I left the church!!!!! I just can't believe the idiocy of the narrow-minded. Well, I can believe it, but I can't stomach it.
