Fundamentalists Are "Rebuking" Their Local Target Stores

Right-wing hysteria over Target's bathroom policies has led to fundamentalists annoying Target shoppers. Several YouTube videos show fundamentalists "rebuking" Target employees and customers for supporting LGBTQ rights. (Hat tip to Friendly Atheist for the first video.)

This is understandably frustrating for Target employees, such as this young woman who had an unpleasant encounter with a transphobe.

What transphobes fail to realize is that their histrionics are only hurting their cause. These public displays of bigotry and self-righteousness will only serve to alienate their audience. My heart goes out to Target shoppers and employees who have to deal with their tantrums.

  1. I'm not a big Target shopper but I'm going to make it a point to give the store more of my business.

    1. Agi Tater -- I bought some snacks there the other night for the same reason.

  2. Let them "rebuke" all they want. It makes shopping at Target much nicer for the other 330 million of us.

    1. Jono -- Do they honestly think that yelling at Target customers and employees will have any impact on the policy? Yeesh.

  3. It's just a matter of time, but they'll lose this stupid battle as they have lost all the others where their goal is to harass a minority they don't understand or like. As usual, they're on the wrong side of history. How boring they are.

    1. Shaw -- Fifty years from now, this will be an embarrassment for the Religious Right. They'll deny that they were ever transphobic, of course.
