So far, my vegetable garden has produced a phallic cherry tomato, a butt beet, and a brazenly female carrot. Now, behold my spiral carrots!
While thinning my carrot bed a few weeks ago, I found two carrot seedlings that had grown so close together than one spiraled around the other. When I untangled them, one carrot retained its curly shape, while the other bore corkscrew indentations.
Those ate awesome! They look artsy.
ReplyDeleteOops...'are' not 'ate.' But I suppose they'll be 'ate' eventually. :)
ReplyDeleteMichelle -- Shortly after I took these photos, the carrots were chopped up and thrown into soup, so they did get "ate" quickly. Glad you like them!

ReplyDeleteYou had a female carrot before, now you've got gay carrots.
Infidel -- This gardener welcomes produce of all sexual orientations. I run an open and inclusive vegetable patch!
DeleteWould a phallic cherry tomato be a hermaphrodite? (sorry, couldn't resist)
ReplyDeleteLady Freethinker -- Hee hee!
