  1. Re. the RNS piece: "Cedarville has made news over the past year for what has been referred to as a Southern Baptist takeover. Bible classes taught by women, for example, are now restricted to female students only, in accordance with 1 Timothy 2:12, 'I do not permit a woman to teach or to assume authority over a man.'”

    I'd love to get into a debate with these people about whether they really want to follow all of the Bible's strange (and in many cases, criminal) edicts, but it would feel a lot like attacking low hanging fruit.

    1. Agi Tater -- The whole thing with the Ventriloquist newspaper was unsettling. Censorship has no place in an institution of learning. I hope Cedarville's students and staff are incensed.

      As for the classes, people like that cherry-pick from scripture to support their agendas, but then ignore or explain away the passages they don't like.
