ReplyDeleteAnd now the Republican party begins to pay the price for its alliance with the monster of militant fundamentalism starting with the Moral Majority in the late 1970s. That monster will turn on you the moment you start questioning its core bigotries. The right wing has a long and messy internal fight ahead of it.
Infidel -- And I couldn't be happier. Maybe now the GOP will think twice about unsavory political alliances.
Deletethe fact is that to the laity, the nuns are perhaps the sanest part of the Roman Catholic Church. At least they are for me. If only they could run the Church, things might be quite different. Actually there is little doubt they would be.
ReplyDeleteSherry -- The nuns do a lot of heavy lifting in the church, such as teaching and running social service programs, so the church leaders ought to show them more respect.
